Encounter 8.22.24

nettle and I finally sat down for a little chat a few weeks back, here's what happened...

Robin: Hi there, nice to “meet” you.

Nettle: hey (uwu)

R: What’s on your mind?

N: Wondering when you’re going to put out the song I made literally 3 years ago?

R: Sorry about that, I am a bit ashamed of you.

N: I know…

R: I just feel like you can be ... a lot, sometimes, and I’m afraid of what ppl will think of you.

N: How do you think that makes me feel?

R: Probably not good…

N: No. It feels like shit honestly, I have something to say, idgaf if it’s too much or whatever, I have a right to express myself and I am living in you as a part of this system, I don’t get another body to express through rn. I am what I am, I’ve been called many things and have had many names; Fairy, Yaksha, Jogah… many different places and many different homes I have had.. I can be a bit chaotic I know… but at the end of the day I care and want the best for you and all of us. I deserve your respect, I deserve to be heard.

R: Yeah, I hear you. I guess it would just be nice to know that if I let you out that it’s not going to derail my life.

N: Is that what you’re scared of? Or is it just you fearing what people will think of ‘you’?

R: Maybe that too.

N: Yeah, I think it’s mostly that. Listen, you are stuck creatively rn, you know it, you have been for a while. You have to actually let me speak through you. This isn’t about completely identifying with me, I don’t want that, I want to have sovereignty, I don’t want you to change your name and trap me as your whole personality. Just let me be a part of you. I’ve got other stuff to do the rest of the time.

R: Ok, yeah I guess that makes sense. So where do we go from here?

N: Well, I just want to release the music that we made already. Do that and we can talk about what’s next.

R: Ok ... I still feel a bit nervous but I’m going to trust you and let it out.

N: Cool, just release Flood Dose first and then the others after that. If you get that one out we can make some more? I like working with Ronan, he’s fun.

R: Yeah, I have to have a chat with him as well. I appreciate chatting with you like this. Sorry it’s taken me a while to get here.

N: It’s alright, I get it, you’ve been through a lot, just remember that when Cacica left that’s when I started coming through, it gave me a space to communicate with you more directly, but I’ve been with you a long, long time. We go back.
